Dr Anthony White
Dr Anthony White is a seasoned expert in international power markets and the low carbon economy, boasting over 35 years of experience in various roles. He has held key executive positions throughout his career, including being the lead analyst for the top-ranked energy team at investment bank James Capel and Head of Citigroup's pan-European power team. In the 1990s, he served as National Grid's Group Head of Strategy.
Dr White co-founded Climate Change Capital, a specialist low carbon advisory and asset management business, and currently provides consultancy services through his company, BW Energy Limited.
He is a non-executive director of Green Energy Options and held previous non-executive director roles with the National Renewable Energy Centre, and the Green Deal Financing Company.
Dr White has actively participated in several government advisory bodies, including the Energy Advisory Panel, Commission on Environmental Markets and Economic Reform, Energy Networks Strategy Group, and the House of Commons Select Committee on Energy & Climate Change. In recognition of his contributions to UK energy policy, he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2004.
Charles Conner
Charles has been active as an investor, developer and fund manager in the renewable energy infrastructure, energy efficiency and clean technology sectors since 2000. In 2004, he formed Ventus VCT plc, the first publicly traded UK wind energy fund. In 2011, he co-founded Temporis Wind Limited, a developer of wind, solar and biomass projects. Temporis Wind developed and built the largest Feed-in Tariff wind portfolio in the UK, comprising 43 operational onshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 21 megawatts.
Charles is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Aquila Capital Energy Efficiency Fund, a Luxemburg-based private equity fund that invests in energy efficiency projects in Europe. He also serves as an adviser to the board of directors of the Gresham House Energy Storage Fund plc, an investment company traded on the London Stock Exchange that owns and operates utility-scale battery energy storage systems internationally.
Charles holds a BS degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Jonathan Turner
Jonathan Turner, a graduate of Newcastle Business School, is the owner and Chief Executive of The Bayford Group. Joining the family business in 1988, he quickly rose through the ranks and became Managing Director in 2000. In 2004, Jonathan led a family buyout, acquiring sole ownership of Bayford Group.
Under his leadership, the company embarked on a series of strategic acquisitions, completing seven deals in 2003 and 2004 alone. This expansion drives propelled Bayford Group to achieve an impressive turnover of nearly £1 billion.
With over 30 years of experience in downstream energy, he has led various ventures, including start-ups, management buyouts, mergers, acquisitions, and disposals. In line with the global transition towards renewable energy, Jonathan has expanded into the supply of electricity, gas, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the UK and Netherlands.
Jonathan Turner's entrepreneurial endeavours extend beyond the Bayford Group. He serves as a Deputy Lieutenant representing the King in West Yorkshire and acts as a Trustee of The Jaytee Foundation, a charitable organization he established to support underprivileged children in Yorkshire.
David Kemp
David’s project and infrastructure finance experience spans more than two decades. David was Managing Director, Project & Infrastructure Finance at M&G, the world’s largest infrastructure debt investor, for almost ten years, where he led transactions across infrastructure and energy, including a number of landmark solar deals.
More recently, he has advised, invested in and acted as a Non-Exec Director for a number of companies focused on the energy transition.
David is a CFA Charterholder and a CPA Australia-qualified accountant.
